Find out about diverse opportunities for funding and what you need to create: a Business Plan, a feasibility study or something else to compete for capital. Join Jack in a discussion about the funding landscape and what it means to raise funding in Michigan. From crowdfunding to traditional venture capital funding, it is important to know the basics.  

Guest Speaker:  Jack Miner, Capital Champion of Techtown. 

Jack Miner is TechTown’s Entrepreneurial Capital Champion and uses his experience to assist some of Detroit’s most innovative startups and create an entrepreneurial environment in Michigan.   Miner has more than 4 years experience in capital development for entrepreneurs and more than 20 years experience in the computer software industry, where he held executive and sales management positions with venture capital-backed startup companies and Fortune 100 information technology organizations. Startup funding is a critical part of launching a business, but only one part of a very complex blend of services that needs to be addressed.
  
Miner holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
